Using ZOOM, just worshiped with the congregation of First Baptist Church,E 8th street, and heard a powerful teaching by Dr. Ladd, from 2Kings 7:3-11, titled "Lessons from Lepers". Such a joy to hear a sermon purely from the Word, no political intonations or inuendos. "God, when He pleases, makes the stoutest heart to tremble; and for those who will not fear God, He can MAKE THEM FEAR, at the shaking of a leaf (or the diagnosis of Covid19). Natural humanity, and fear of punishment or eradication are powerful checks on the selfishness of the ungodly. They tend to preserve order and kindness in the world; BUT THEY WHO HAVE FOUND THE UNSEARCHABLE RICHES OF FAITH IN CHRIST WILL NOT DELAY TO REPORT THEIR GOOD TIDINGS TO OTHERS. From love of Him, not from selfishness, they will gladly share their earthly good things, their gifts(and talents), and their faith with their brothers, who then will no longer fear."

POWERFUL!!!

This past Sunday our church was blessed by your pastor Rev. Dr. Terry Ladd where he surprised with his unannounced visit. Thank you church for sharing your pastor sabbatical with us. Somalia

Would you please pray for Somalia? Somalia desperately need your prayer.For they were abandoned past 25 years as bleeding body,
Now because of drought, people walk 100km cannot find food.(Without sandstorm nothing left on vast desert.)
78% people didn't have any malaria protection(In 2011),now (in 2018) refugee numbers are 8 hundred thousand,orphan numbers are 6 hundred thousand.
Most of all,everything precious inside Somalia has dried out. (Herd of cattle,whole land ..)
Please pray for children under 5 years old life in danger by pneumonia,diarrhea,measles,dehydration,birth trauma,malnutrition,low birth weight, to no more rage on cholera,and for pregnant women,(For maternal mortality rate is too high), Shabelle Region.(The capital of Al-shabaab the Somali version IS),the worst land of Somalia)
To end the 'civil war', extermination of Al-shabaab (Their Sharia law) and pray for refugees.
